The base functionality of DCM can work with any IP based camera, including cameras attached to any VMS system. For some commercial Video Management Systems, some additional features are available via tighter integration with DCM. This can allow access to DCMs detailed analytics through a single, familiar interface. In this deployment option camera detail are imported into DCM from the VMS system rather than being entered manually. For some VMS systems alarm and note events can be pushed into the native VMS notification system. It may also be possible to import the DCM web based dashboard and view and control DCM software from within the VMS desktop.
