The default and primary version of DCM is a cloud based solution, that uses a secure encrypted VPN link to take limited image samples from cameras, for processing in cloud based servers. All customer data is encrypted in transit and at rest and access granted only to users authorised by the client. As long as networking and internet infrastructure exists, and the deployment is using existing cameras, no new hardware is required at the client site, only a configuration update to connect the VPN link to an existing router.
This option is highly secure, the fastest to deploy, most scale-able and most cost effective, and thus is the best choice for the vast majority of customers.
