DCM has other optional parameters that can be enabled to supply additional crowd data. For monitoring an area with a critical capacity limit, the dashboard can display raw headcount (as opposed to density) and the percentage of current capacity utilised. Breaches of this threshold can be tied to the Alarms capability.
Optionally, DCM can monitor crowd groups, and distances between individuals. The dashboard visual elements and statistics will detect and highlight likely groups based on a defined distance threshold. This is useful for crowd analytics, for example to detect if a particular event is attended primarily by family groups, or mostly couples or individuals. Like the main metrics, this can be monitored both in real time and reviewed against historical data to determine a trend within your site or event.
