Mood

Mood is measured by the observable faces in an area, without tracking individuals or use of face recognition. The measurement classifies the observed faces into three categories: Positive, Neutral and Negative, presenting an overall average mood for the defined zone. If some faces are too far away, blurry or obscured, the mood sample size may be reduced, but as long as at least a few faces are visible, an average will be presented.

The mood measurement can be used as an early indicator of emerging issues within the crowd, even before other indicators reach safety thresholds.

Combined with other indicators, the user will be able to anticipate the level of stress and anxiety of their crowd, giving time for agencies to put control measures in place to better manage crowd sentiment and behaviour.
