The Density measurement is the indicator of the number of people in relation to the available space in an observed area. The measurement is provided as persons per square meter.
Knowing the density of your crowd is important for understanding the crowds’ safety. With the density data support, the user can pinpoint areas of risk and focus their resources towards that area.
When each camera is originally set up, as part of the calibration, the floor area to be used for density measurement is defined, and can cope with irregular shaped spaces and exclude obstacles or unused areas to give more meaningful and accurate data.
